How to Use this Site

Brandclusive may be used via desktop or mobile, but it is better used with desktop to better digest topic examples. It is compatible with all browsers. It can be medium specific or exploratory.  I have compartmentalized the hierarchy of subjects into primary, secondary and tertiary buckets. Please watch the video for more information.

Determining Success

There is no digital product that is 100% inclusive, but exclusion can be minimized. This site does not promise the successful remediation or resolution of all inclusive design problems. However, Brandclusive serves as an educational platform to launch such an experience. All elements can be vetted against established WCAG criteria linked at the bottom of each page and none of these qualifications are wholly subjective. They can all be checked with functioning code, contrast checker websites, crawlers and reabability testers. Brandclusive acts as an educational intermediary and reduces the confusion brought on by many hyper detailed sites. It is an overview aimed at developers, designers and students of digital experiences. You should strive to meet as many of these qualifications as possible for your users. Implementation requires time, resources, talent and money.

There are several types of inclusive design users such as students, professional product developers, heads of organizations, and working digital creatives. Each group has their own reason for exploring the elements of compliance. The infographic provides some examples of these users.

Benefit

Meeting inclusive design criteria benefits users and sales opportunities. The more inclusive design elements included, the greater the user base will be. Without proper compliance, you are excluding users, regardless of your intentions.

Inclusive design is an evolving field that continues to meet the needs of anyone, regardless of what technology emerges.
