FAQ

Does this site include every inclusive design element?

This site selects the most common and important inclusive design elements. It does not include everything suggested by W3 compliance, which is often optional. This index uses the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) as a reference point. The WAI-ARIA suite are shared standards for web content accessibility for individuals, organizations, and governments.

Why are you qualified to create this site?

I have 20 years experience as a designer working for some of the largest corporations in the world as a digital art director. I am a lifetime hall of fame member of the Special Olympics and have a masters degree in digital media from Harvard Extension School and a bachelor’s degree in design from The Maryland Institute College of Art. I am open to any and all feedback regarding corrections and suggestions.

How often is this site updated?

With limited time and resources, this site will be updated based on emerging digital medias like AI, AR, VR etc. This is a free site and I am open to additional contributors who want to help. Brandclusive started as a thesis capstone but I decided I wanted to create something beyond my degree.

Can I submit feedback?

Please submit above in the above form. I am open to all suggestions, corrections and additions.

Do you have social media channels?

No. We lack the resources to maintain proper social channels but are not opposed to youtube and linked-in conversation.

Why does this site exist when W3 does?

Brandclusive helps makes sense of current inclusive elements online. It is a “cliffs notes” and a sound resource for students of design, product development and web development. It’s purpose is to simplify some of the clutter that W3 has. A user of this site can continue on a particular subject on their own volition.
